Scan. Pay. Power on.

Every eCandle has a QR code. Scanning it is all you need to buy clean solar power — pay in cash with a local agent, or straight from a crypto wallet. Here's the whole flow, step by step.

01

📱Scan the QR code on the device

Point your phone camera at the QR code printed on the eCandle. It opens the payment page for exactly that device — no app to install, no account to create.

No smartphone? No problem — a local agent can light the candle for you. Jump to step 4.
02

⏱️Choose how long you want power

Pick a duration — for example 15 minutes, 1 hour, or an evening. The page shows the exact price in USD before you commit. Prices start around $0.10.

03

💳Pay from a crypto wallet (if you have one)

On the order page, open "Pay from a crypto wallet". Connect MetaMask (or your wallet's built-in browser), and confirm — usually a single signature pays and settles everything in one transaction.

  • You pay in USDC on-chain — a digital dollar, so the price you see is the price you pay.
  • You'll need a tiny amount of POL in the wallet for the network fee (a fraction of a cent).
  • The moment the payment lands, your candle switches on — and the revenue is split on-chain to the people who built and run it.
04

💵…or pay cash to a local agent

Prefer cash? Hand the payment to your local eCandle agent (usually the shopkeeper or operator who looks after the devices). They confirm it on their console and your candle lights up right away — the on-chain accounting happens behind the scenes.

Cash and crypto cost the same. There is no markup for paying cash.
05

💡Power on — and check your receipt

The light comes on automatically once payment is confirmed — the page updates by itself, no refresh needed. Every payment gets an on-chain receipt: a public, permanent record you can open from the order page at any time.

Common questions

Do I need cryptocurrency to use eCandle?
No. Cash via a local agent works everywhere eCandle operates, at the same price. The crypto wallet option is there for those who prefer to pay digitally.
I paid but the light didn't come on. What now?
First give it a few seconds — confirmation is usually instant but can briefly lag. If it still doesn't light, use the "report a problem" link on the order page (or tell your agent). A ticket goes straight to the operator, and payments for undelivered power are made right.
Where does my money go?
Every payment is split automatically, on-chain: 50% to the investors who funded the device, 40% to the local operator who maintains it, 10% to the platform. You can verify the split yourself from the receipt.
Is my payment safe?
Wallet payments settle on-chain — public and verifiable. Cash payments are confirmed by a registered agent and recorded with the same on-chain accounting. Every order has a permanent receipt.
